Grace, mercy, and peace to you!
1 Timothy 1:2
We are grateful for your presence and your gifts at the Church of St. Timothy! We invite all our youth parishioners to consider the many opporunities to share time and talent in community. From sharing your musical gifts to assisting children's programs, from contributing your creative work in the Cornerstone to serving on a committee, there are so many ways you can enrich and be enriched through service.
Click here to view and complete the online youth time and talent form. If you prefer to use a paper form, they are available in the carts in the church, and can be mailed to or dropped off at the parish office after you complete them.
Please contact St. Tim's Middle School and High School Faith Formation Coordinator and Youth Minister Rick Craig at the parish office or at rcraig@churchofsttimothy.com if you have questions about our youth ministry.
Under guidance of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops in their documents, A Vision of Youth Ministry (1986)1 and Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry (1997)2, The Church of St. Timothy regards ministry to, with, by and for our youth as a priority in the Church.
A comprehensive youth ministry is multidimensional but can be focused on three main goals:
• to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ,
• to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person,
• to draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the faith community.
Our youth ministry will express the mission of the Church through eight components. These are catechesis, community life, evangelization, justice and service, leadership development, pastoral care, prayer and worship, and advocacy.
It is through these documents, goals, and components by which we assess our ministry to young people. Read more about Renewing the Vision by clicking here to view the document on the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops website.
