Faith formation for our High School youth can be broken into 3 pieces:

Confirmation Preparation

Worship

Pre- or Post-Confirmation

Preparation

 When a young person feels ready to affirm the promises their parents made for them at Baptism and to complete their initiation into full members of the Catholic Church, youth are encouraged to begin the 2-year preparation process using the “Confirmed in A Faithful Community” handbook. (May begin process in the fall of 9th, 10th, or 11th grade.)

Once enrolled in the Confirmation preparation, youth are responsible for:

• attending small and large group sessions;
  

• reading the material in the Candidate Handbook;
  

• experiencing retreats;
  

• doing group and individual service projects
  

• meeting with their sponsors;
  

• participating in the sacraments, especially weekend Mass; 

   

In-home groups, led by volunteer catechists, are at the heart of the process. Groups meet approximately twice per month to study our faith, discuss, and share their own faith experiences. Parents, sponsors, and Guardian Angel prayer partners also play crucial roles in supporting youth in their preparation for Confirmation.

The foundational part of faith formation for our high school teens is participation in the sacraments, celebrating Mass each weekend and Reconciliation periodically.  These experiences are necessary for the youth to participate in additional faith formation at St. Timothy's, as detailed below.

Pre- or Post-Confirmation

 For youth in grades 9-12. 11^th & 12^th graders this is an opportunity for you to stay connected with others in your Confirmation group or other St. Tims youth.

 T3 Timeline Bible Study - An 8 week Sunday evening creative video/discussion/activities study of the Bible.  A fast-paced presentation/study of the Bible timeline.   Reconnect with your Confirmation group.
