Fasting is a traditional Lenten practice for Catholic
As Christians, we are called to care for the poor
The experience of hunger will help us identify with those who are far less fortunate than we.
It will raise our awareness of world hunger issues and perhaps inspire us.
It’s an overnight event with other youth—how could that not be fun?! |

Nothing that can be measured in money!
Participants may eat supper at home before arriving for the fast.
Your supper at home will be the last bite of food until 6 pm on Saturday, at which time participants will enjoy a light meal together.

The fun will be in the form of learning activities about world hunger, music, open gym, a relevant Jeopardy game, other games, sleeping, juice breaks, spending time with other hungry youth.
We will attend the 5:00 pm Mass together as a group to thank God for our blessings and to pray for those around the world who go to bed hungry every night. Following Mass, we will share a light meal together at the parish center.
